More companies may be keen to invest in safer industrial shelving following a recent workplace incident which has hit the news.
The incident happened as a female employee climbed onto a chair to reach the top of the metal shelving system.
As a result of this, business may opt for long-span shelving which would allow extra width to be added to storage areas, avoiding the need for additional shelves to be positioned at a dangerous height.
Alternatively, premises that are equipped with high level shelving could benefit from accessories such as folding steps in order to safely reach the top shelves.
